It's official, I'm obsessed with the weather forecast. My laptop has just expired on me and I'm wondering how I am going to survive without checking the bbc forecast every hour throughout the day. The computer I am on now is on the telly so no good when it's being used for back to back Beauty and the Beast and Sleeping Beauty! Just one question: if the bbc uses the met office for its information, why is the forecast so often different? Any meteorologists out there please help!! Is this what my life has become????? By the way, showers forecast for tomorrow starting at 1pm, incidently the same time as the parent organised sports day due to public sector strike (see previous blog).

I think our dread of rain is more to do with catching colds than anything. Do your kids do the relay cough and cold thing? It drives me mad, especially in the summer when they should damn well be cold free. Oh well ear plugs are good (unless you have to wear them all night then they bloody hurt).

I`m so pleased you said that! I was beginning to think it was just my kids, and with four of them, this house is like a continuous sick bay!
And that coughing....and coughing...and coughing....and when you don`t feel well yourself but you still have to get up at 4a.m...cos you`re not allowed to be ill when you`re a mum are you?
And the doctors with their `its just a virus` speech all the time

Of course you can't be ill. Are you mad? Who will look after your husband when he gets it worse of all!!!
I`m obsessed with the weather too, must be a mum thing.
I dread the rain...but funnily enough the kids love it!
We have had one week of sunshine here in the north all summer(?) and there`s only about 6 weeks left before the hats and scarves come out again! As soon as the September term starts..thats it....we`re done for!!!
